Our lovely Friends group (a separate organisation in its own right) exists to support and enrich the work of the Singing In... Choirs. The group works in partnership with us to help ensure that our choir members experience the best possible opportunities to meet and sing together, regardless of personal circumstances or financial means. The funds that the group raises may also be used to support other opportunities for community singing, particularly in Sheffield and North Derbyshire.

The members are working hard to raise funds for things like new music, performances in special places or participation in workshops. One of the first projects for the Friends of Singing In... Choirs was producing a book of local carols which was published in the Autumn of 2022.

Membership of the Friends is open to anyone aged over 18 who supports the aims of the group. Membership costs £5 per annum and is renewable on 1 April. For new members registering after 1 October, half the annual fee (£2.50) is payable.
