Want to sing in Hillsborough?

Singing In... Hillsborough takes place on Thursday mornings during term time between 10.00am and 11.30am at Hillsborough Trinity Methodist Church, on Middlewood Road opposite the Bowling Green. 

 

Like all our activity, the group is open to anyone who wants to sing - there aren't any auditions, ever! It doesn't matter if you've been told you can't sing, you absolutely can. We sing a mixture of pop, folk, jazz, classical and music from around the world. There will be things you know and things you've never heard before. You don't need to be able to read music to take part.

 

The sessions are really relaxed and people of all ages are welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

There are no sessions on 7 May (polling day) and 28 May (half term)

Prices (from 1 April 2026):

​

Accessible Rate (£4 per session) - For anyone on a limited income or a tight budget. No proof needed.

​

Standard Rate (£6 per session) - The standard rate that covers the essential costs of the running of the group including leadership, room hire, music and refreshments.

​

Supporter Rate (£8 per session) - For those in a position to pay a little extra. This helps to support our ability to offer low-cost spaces to other members of our community.

Accompanying Carer Rate (Free) - For essential carers accompanying a paying participant.

Please note that Singing In... Hillsborough operates an open door policy. We believe that everyone has a right to sing, and finances should never be a barrier to taking part. If you are currently unable to contribute financially, please just let us know. We won’t ask any questions, we’d rather you just join us!
