Join us this summer for a FREE singing workshop with Fiona Lander
Fiona Lander is an enthusiastic and fabulous workshop leader and composer from the North East. We're delighted that she'll be spending the day with us in North Sheffield this summer teaching us some of her beautiful songs. Fiona has over 30 years of experience of teaching, leading choirs and community music-making. More information about Fiona is available on her website here.
The event will take place at The Learning Zone on Wordsworth Avenue in Parson Cross. The Learning Zone is the building that incorporates Parson Cross Library and Sheffield City Council Housing Reception, opposite Chaucer Business and Enterprise College and close to the ASDA supermarket. There is plenty of parking close by and there are regular buses that stop just outside the building.
The day will begin with refreshments from 09.30, then at 10.00 we’ll get started with the singing. There’ll be refreshment breaks throughout the day and a free lunch provided. The event finishes at 3.00pm.
This event was made possible thanks to National Lottery players
The event is being hosted by Community Music Makers (the new home for the Singing In... choirs in North Sheffield). Thanks to the support of The National Lottery Community Fund there is no charge to take part in the day, although numbers are limited to 80 people, so booking in advance is essential (and please let us know if you can no longer attend so that we can offer your place to someone else).
Just like our regular term-time choirs, everyone is welcome to attend! The workshop is suitable for all levels of singer, even if you don't read music.
